THE BEAST!!! Sunday, 5/17/20 the Beast Roars!

Every Cub Scout in Pack 6 earned a FREE RIDE ON “THE BEAST,” the roaring speedboat around NYC harbor — great views, including Statue of Liberty — because of our fantastic “Be Enthusiastic!” Popcorn Fundraiser. It will soon wake up from its hibernation deep under the Hudson!
Sunday, May 17, meet at 12:15pm (12:30 at the Latest) at Pier 83, West 42nd St. NYC.
RSVP requested by our March 12th Pack Meeting. We have reserved 55 tickets so far. packsix@gmail.com
Parents, Siblings and friends welcome at $15/per person — This is group rate, about 1/2 the regular price. Scouts are free.
Families are welcome to make additional NYC plans together for after the 30 minute ride. Feel free to share your ideas.
If your Enthusiastic, Eye-contact-making, Gratitude-expressing popcorn seller can’t make this date, let me know and we’ll figure out what to do.

Bridges Homeless Sandwich Making

Bridges Lunches and Run to Newark
For the second consecutive year, Boy Scout Troop 28 and Cub Scout Pack 6 are collaborating on a Bridges Outreach Run. The lunch making will be hosted by Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Friday, February 21, at 4pm when we will make 250 brown bag lunches.
Bridges Outreach is a Summit, NJ based homeless advocacy organization. Cub Scouts will bring their decorated brown lunch bags and fill them with healthy foods for our homeless friends in Newark. The food will be donated by scout families. On Saturday, February 22, a team of adults and High School age scouts and volunteers will take the lunches to Newark and hand them out.
