About Our Pack

About Our Pack

Cub Scouts is a year-round program that offers fun activities that promote character and leadership development. Our program is designed to be hands-on, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in our programs.

Scouting embraces the outdoors through camping, hiking and water sports. We also focus on helping our communities through service projects, STEM development and building confident kids through our wide range of activities. The Cub Scout program is designed to develop physical, mental and emotional fitness. Fitness includes the body (well-tuned and healthy), the mind (able to think and solve problems), and the emotions (self-control, courage, and self-respect).

Pack 6 is chartered by St Patrick’s School, pulling most of our scouts from there, Washington Avenue, and Lafayette Schools.  We have at least 1 den (8-10 scouts) at each rank level. The dens meet at least once a month, but often more. Our Pack meets for a combined meeting each month.  Pack meetings typically involve a large activity such as nature hike or First Aid training with Boy Scouts.

We’re a very active group!  We schedule a family campout in the fall and spring, with a camp-in at an exciting location during the winter.

Pack 6 is part of the Fishawack District of the Patriots Path Council.  We participate in council events such as Cubelos, Cubmobile, Elective Extraganza, and Summer Day Camp.  More information on those events can be found on the council website: https://ppcbsa.org/
